Congrats to Alex Craig for a successful Coat Drive 2009

Many thanks to senior Alex Craig for organizing this year's "Warm Coat Drive." Thanks to the efforts of Alex and senior class advisor Josh Rubin, Woodside High School contributed over 300 coats to benefit Project Ninety, Inc., an organization that treats substance abuse and addiction.

Woodside students continue to excel in the area of community service and civic mindedness, as evidenced by this year's showing at the Sequoia Awards.

Thank you for your efforts, Alex Craig!

Senior Hana Girardot travels to Sacramento to address state legislature

Hana Girardot is BOSA President and she was a part of the Student Advisory Board on Education and Legislation (SABLE). Several groups of students prepared and delivered separate proposals to advise the CA legislature. The students hope to inspire legislators to convert their proposals into bills.

Hana is currently on WHS' Shared Decision Making Council (SDMC).  She contributed to the proposal focused on the role of students in decision making.

Great work, Hana.
