BLACK STUDENT UNION in E-17 Thur at 7:20am: At BSU all cultures and races learn about African American culture through a variety of activities and discussions.

CSF (California Scholarship Foundation) in E-1:

An academic club which requires 3 A’s and 1 B each semester for membership. CSF rosters are available for college admission.

CYCLING CLUB in E-5 Fridays at lunch:

For students interested in all types of cycling. This club also promotes cycling as a safe form of transportation.

EARTH CLUB in B-17 Mondays at lunch:

the purpose of the Earth CLub is to promote environmental awareness to help students learn the importance of a clean campus and to encourage recycling.

FRENCH CLUB B-5 Thursdays at lunch:

This club promotes and develops interest in speaking French and the French culture all over the world.

FRIENDS OF MILLARD FILLMORE in C-6:

A weekend long trivia competition against other high schools in the area.

GAY/STRAIGHT ALLIANCE in E-13 Thursdays at lunch:

To provide a supportive environment for students struggling with identity questions, and promote an understanding and acceptance of diverse life styles and cultures.

GET IT RIGHT/GET IT TIGHT G-21:

Help beautify Woodside’s campus (Get it Right!) and keep it beautiful (Get it Tight!)

INTERNATIONAL AWARENESS AND TRAVEL CLUB H-2:

Developed to bring more of a global awareness to WHS campus by promoting exploration of and humanitarian assistance to countries around the world.

MATH CLUB F-25 Tuesdays at lunch:

This club has math contests and enhances their math skills.

OCTAGON CLUB E-10 Mondays at lunch:

A community service club: recycling at Woodside Manor, adopt a beach, clean up, etc.

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB F-24 Thursdays at lunch:

Explore the art of photography with students of every level of experience. They cover the range of topics, including the technical camera theory to their favorite photographs.

PINK RIBBON CLUB E-9 Tuesdays at lunch:

To raise money to help fight against Breast Cancer. Have fundraisers and donate money to foundations and organizations that are helping to prevent Breast Cancer.

PLAYERS’ CLUB D-7 Thursdays at lunch:

This club works toward expanding school spirit by encouraging all students to show their appreciation for sports and athletes.

POLYNESIAN CLUB D-3 Thursdays at lunch: To promote cultural awareness and understanding of the many Polynesian islands

QUIZ KIDS H-1 everyday at lunch:

To improve students’ academic knowledge in social science, math, English, and sports history so they can participate in matches against other high schools in the bay area.

RADIO CLUB E-5 Thursdays at lunch:

To create a radio station on the WHS campus. They hope to broadcast for WHS students over the air and on the web.

ROBOTICS TEAM G-6Thursdays at 7pm:

The team builds and competes in robot competitions throughout the US.

S.O.S. (Students Offering Support) C-3:
Members provide helping services on and off campus including Freshman Transition, Conflict Mediation, Challenge Days, HIV/AIDS education, smoking cessation, 8th grade orientation, welcoming new students and community service.

SPANISH LANGUAGE CLUB Thursdays at lunch:

Promotes the exploration of the Spanish language and culture, and travel.

STAR OF DAVID D-1 Friday at lunch:

To promote Jewish identity, educate about Jewish culture and to create a Jewish community on campus.

YOUNG LATINO LEADERS B-8 Tuesdays at lunch:

Members of this club hope to develop leadership qualities through their involvement in various community activities.

YOUTH FOR CHRIST E-15 Thursdays at lunch:

YFC is a club that allows Christian and non-Christian students to learn and discuss problems, pressures and decisions facing Christian youth.

Want to start your own club?

It is easy to do...just go to D7 (Student Activities' Office) and pickup and complete a club petition form. You will need a faculty advisor, 10 interested students, and administrative approval to be an official WHS club.

Once a charter has been approved, then the group is required to submit a club constitution to D7. An outline for the constitution is available.
