MISSION STATEMENT:
BSU is committed to cultural, social, intellectual, and ethnic
diversity. Our focus is to build awareness and a new level of
consciousness about being an African American in this society. Our aim
is to teach others about diversity and show that through engaging
activities focused around acceptance and tolerance, we will get a better
understanding of others while learning about ourselves.

VISION STATEMENT:
We would like to bring diversity to the school by exposing all students
and faculty members to American Americal culture. By building on our
history and developing leadership skills, we will strive to be leaders
and role models in an age when it is most needed.

To the Woodside community - students, parents, faculty,and staff - who
share an interest in African-American issues and how they relate to the
educational environment, you are welcomed to join us at our Tuesday
lunchtime meetings in room E-14, field trips, and other events that we
sponsor.
