Darrell Ringman (Head Coach of Boy's Varsity)Top of Page

Ringman Darrell

With the generous support of the families of the community, Darrell continues to proudly lead this determined and successful group of student athletes.  Darrell's history with soccer spans 30 years, a time over which he has developed his working knowledge of coaching, playing, refereeing and administering the game for both youth and adults alike. Darrell's coaching career spans nearly thirty years, from AYSO to CYSA (Redwood League, Delgado, Abronzino) and NorCal (Premier, Regional Academy and National Premier).  He coaches for Juventus Sport Club and is also the Head Coach of Woodside High School's Men's Varsity program.  Summed up, his coaching philosophy is simple: "Have fun while playing the game well!" Darrell is very proud of the player's on the team who have identified College soccer opportunities to complement their athletic desires.

Jorge Moreno (Boys JV Soccer Head Coach)Top of Page

Jorge has been coaching since 2001. He has been a coach for AYSO, the Sheriff Activities League, four years as a Juventus coach and also the Madera Roja Club team in Redwood City for U9 boys. This is his 2nd year coaching at WHS as the JV soccer coach. Jorge grew up playing street soccer and played a bit of Club Soccer in his youth. Jorge graduated from Sequoia High School, and took courses at Canada College in Computer Science, before becoming a trades men and union member working in construction. Coaching is his passion (he did it for 14 years for free!) and if he could change just one life for the better, through accomplishing goals set in sports, he says it is all worth it, “it takes only one person to make the world a better place.” Outside of coaching he has been a volunteer school district mentor for middle school students for 4 years in San Jose for a program started by then San Jose Mayor Gonzalez.
