Over the past half-century, Woodside High School has emerged as one of the most dynamic and diverse comprehensive high schools on the San Francisco Peninsula.

Our campus now provides new facilities and technology amongst the best anywhere, and our steady stream of innovations have included a renowned robotics program and a recently introduced Green Academy, a program on the cutting edge of a new green economy.

Understandably, Woodside High now attracts more students than ever before. Yet, even with the growth we’ve experienced, we remain true to our core values of providing a personalized learning environment and a commitment to meeting the individual needs of all students – wherever they fall on the academic achievement spectrum or area of particular interest in high school and beyond.

We keep our class sizes small, offer a choice of small-learning communities, and provide a plethora of student support programs. In addition, our outstanding Counseling Department and College & Career Center provide individualized planning and support to all students and their families.

Along with a robust academic program and a breadth of student support services, Woodside High School provides exceptional opportunities for students to participate in a wide range of interscholastic sports, visual and performing arts programs, and other student enrichment activities.

Please be sure to visit our Parent Tour and Student Shadow pages for opportunities to see the campus, observe classes, and speak with administrators, counselors, and other staff. We look forward to meeting you!

Principal's Unity Message / Mensaje de Unidad de la DirectoraTop of Page

Inauguration Day Campus Plans provide for activities that 1) protect class time and 2) protect student rights and 3) promote the use of nonviolent language and nonviolent actions:

1)  Specific classrooms open for supervised inauguration viewing during break and lunch if students want to tune in.

2)  Kindness-messaged lollipops in the morning- distributed to 3rd period classes to remind all of us of kindness
"We are WOODSIDE."

"We don't have to agree on anything to be kind to one another."  -Anonymous

"Kindness is a language the blind can see and the deaf can hear."  -Mark Twain

3)  Unity Mosaic unveiling at lunch - In a peer-to-peer led schoolwide activity last week, students wrote one, two, or three colorful slips of paper completing I am...We are...I will.  Our WHS Safe School Ambassadors collected them and have created a giant mosaic that is multi-colored and representative of campus diversity.  Click here for a preview of the mosaic

Woodside will move forward without violent language and without violent actions.  Students don't have to agree, but we do have to welcome all voices on a safe campus. Student absences will be recorded per our attendance policy.
