Woodside Lacrosse,
Our first day of practice will be Monday, February 2, from 5:30–7:30 pm. Please meet at the top of Bradley Field (football field).
No prior lacrosse experience is required or expected—about 90% of our players join the program with no previous lacrosse background. We field both Varsity and JV teams, and there are no cuts based on skill level. The only requirements are attending the number of practices and games mandated by the school in order to receive class credit.
Our JV program is designed specifically to introduce new players to the game, build strong fundamentals, and enjoy learning a new sport in a supportive environment.
We have extra sticks and goggles available to loan. Players should bring athletic clothing and a mouthguard. If your budget allows, we recommend purchasing a personal girls lacrosse stick and goggles so players can practice on their own. Equipment can be purchased at Sling It Lacrosse in Belmont—just let them know you’re a Woodside High School girls lacrosse player, and they’ll help you find the correct gear (girls’ equipment differs from boys’).
This season marks our 8th consecutive year as WBAL Division Champions, and we’re aiming to compete for another CCS Section Championship. We would love for you to be part of the program!
We look forward to seeing you on Monday, February 2!
Go Wildcats,
