Jose Navarette

Jose has coached Juventus soccer for 16 years, in Palo Alto for the last 5 years, and also coached a Men’s Soccer Team for 15 years.  He has been coaching at Woodside High for the last 20 years, 3 years as JV coach and the last 17 years as Varsity.  He played soccer at Sequoia High School, Canada college and Sacramento State where he graduated with a B.S. in Health Science. Coach Jose realized his passion for coaching early on and has turned it into his fulltime career.  The best part of coaching for him is meeting the new personalities at the beginning of the season during tryouts.  He admits that the hardest part is putting the team together, but in the end it is the most fun.  He loves to see his players set high goals and work hard to achieve them. When there is a little bit of time outside of coaching, Jose loves to travel.  He has 2 adult children who are both Woodside High grads that lettered in sports, soccer and badminton.
