Help us raise funds!!!!

DONATIONS- GoFundMe.com

The Woodside Dance Team has just teamed up with GoFundMe.com in order to raise money for our program at Woodside High School. Because we are a self funded team it makes it nearly impossible to raise enough money to cover dance camp and competition costumes/fees. We work extremely hard throughout our year-round season improving our strength, technique and flexibility, as well as taking classes at private studios. All donations small and large are graciously recognized and help carry on the legacy of the Woodside Dance Team. To make a donation visit our GoFundMe site (link below).

Try Outs and Dance Opportunities

Tuesday, March 19, 2013- 3:15-5:30pm in G-18 (WHS Dance Room)

Dance training prior to try-outs is highly recommended.

The first day of try-outs will consist of technical progressions across the floor and learning a 1 minute routine. We will then make our first cut. If you have made it through the first cut you will be asked to come to the second day of tryouts.

During the second day of try-outs you will perform your 1 minute routine in groups of two or three in front of judges. You will be judged on your overall performance and knowledge of the routine. The final list will be posted after our second day of try-outs.

Please wear appropriate clothing and dance shoes or tennis shoes. Dance Team Try-outs are open to all future Woodside students as well as current Woodside students. You must be entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade the following year.

Meet the Coach

Coach Kim Harvath has been dancing for 18 years and teaching for 12 years. Her professional dance experience includes industrials for Hitachi, Google, Ingenix, Genentech, Sislex, The American Cancer Society, as well as Bastille Day at Hotel Sofitel. In 2008, Kim toured with singer Arielle Paige as a backup dancer, performing shows in San Francisco and Las Vegas. Along with coaching the dance team, Kim is also involved with Woodside's Theatre Department, choreographing their spring musicals and senior fashion show. Kim is in her 9th year coaching at Woodside High and as one of the original members of the Woodside Dance Team, she is extremely proud of the growth the team has made since it started in 2002.
